The mill is intended for production of hollow shaped articles (cylindrical multistage with inner increased thickness at its ends, conical) from ferrous and nonferrous metals and alloys with a diameter from 120 to 300 mm, length up to 2000 mm and ultimate strength in initial state up to 1000 MPa.
Cross rolling is executed in the following manner:
Rotated and axially forced cylindrical billet is reduced on a mandrel with shaped rolls. Article design shape is accomplished by rolls radial movement according to a preset program.
Manufacturing operations are fully mechanized and automated.
mill description
The mill is mounted on a common frame and has a three-high working stand wherein rolls radial movement is executed by one hydraulic tracking slide valve via a copy guide.
During rolling process each roll has additional independent correction of radial movement.
The mill operates in the automatic and manual mode when adjusting and testing mechanisms. Modes and mill mechanisms control is exercise from a station consisted of control desks and a display box.
The display box comprises three digital display units. One unit is intended for displaying of the rolls position and can be used for visualization, adjustment and control of rolls radial movement. The second one is intended for displaying of the working stand movement and exact automatic position of a drive during the mill operation, for controlling of feed value and article axial dimensions. The third one is intended for displaying of a chuck. Mill automatic operation is executed by a programmed detector Б96О1 which is a part of electrical equipment through its program changing.
Notes: At Customer's request it is possible to equip the mill with an additional chuck and induction heating equipment for performing of special manufacturing operations. Besides the mill can be equipped with programmed control system.
