 Now JSC EZTM is modifying a cold rolling mill ХПТ 2-40Б which is going to be equipped with modern automation facilities, monitors, hydraulic and lubricating devices. Foreign firms are exposed to the work. Technical capabilities of the mill are as following:

-        continuous rolling of tubes from different materials and alloys;

-        high accuracy of rolled tubes according to international standards;

-        possibility to change wall thickness, feed, working stand stroke number nonstop from the control panel extending design flexibility of the mill. All parameters are entered on the screen of the panel.

High reliability of the mill is guaranteed by the following design features:

-        transmission mechanisms are excluded from the equipment which increases mill reliability and operation life;

-        counterweight balance of the working stand on the crank shaft of the drive gear provides high number of the working stand under low energy consumption;

-        the working stand with vertical rolls and open ring passes has already demonstrated excellent results.

The mill ХПТ 2-40Б tests are run on 25 of June, 2006.
