Representatives of the Svyato-Troitskaya Sergieva Lavra (Holy Trinity Monastery) have addressed to the Blacksmith Union of Russia and asked them to restore the largest and the most magnificent Tsar-Bell among the active ones. It is impossible to use the bell because of its defects including unsuccessful mount both of the bell and its clapper. It leads to intensive swinging and moving of the bell. And even more the well cast 72-ton bell can be destroyed. Besides the existing clapper has its own defect overlapping sounds of the bell and the clapper. It is wrong. The sound must be dull and damp inside the bell without any vibration. JSC EZTM has agreed to cast a 2-ton unique clapper according to the rigid requirements to the bell sound.

The clapper production is unique. It will be cast-forged in order to keep its acoustic properties and make it solid and reliable.

This technology has been worked out by our specialists and the Blacksmith Union of Russia.

The clapper is mounted in the bell-tower in July.
