A piercing mill "400" designed and produced by EZTM JSC in 2006 has been put into operation at Seversky tube plant.

The mill is designed for production of a shell with a diameter of 360-450 mm and length of 2,4-10,2 m from a solid billet. Such piercing mill is a unique one in Russia.

Mr. Rossel, the governor of Sverdlivsk region and Mr. Pumpyansky, a chairman of metallurgical tube company, as well as many Russian, German and Italian specialists attended the mill start-up.

More than 2000 shells were rolled in the mill by April 26, 2007. Their accuracy meets design parameters.

The mill start-up is an important event coincided with 65-year anniversary of EZTM JSC.
