EZTM JSC is manufacturing 3-high sizing mill for Volzhsky Tube Works, JSC. The mill consists of three 2-high working stands installed on a frame. The stands are driven via gear-type spindles by combined reducers and independent electric motors. The rectangular working stands with adjustable passes are mounted in a cassette with their bearing surfaces for further fixing and intercentering. To overlap roll passes the stands are installed in such a way to make their output shafts interperpendicular and at an angle of 45 degree. The roll cassette is moved by hydraulic cylinders to a transfer trolley turnplate where the cassette is changed. The stands drive is installed on each side of the mill axis. It assures minimal interstand distance and compact mill drive arrangement. Gear-type spindles are connected with stand working shafts by a spring mounted on the spindle shaft. In the course of stand changing process the spindles are detached and held in alignment with rolls axis by a special mechanism driven by the hydraulic cylinder. Combined, spur-gear speed and multistage reducers are used. Reducers input shafts are connected with the electrical motor via the gear-type spindles. 2-high working stand consists of a rectangular solid casing with working rolls mounted on rolling bearing in its grooves. The working rolls form a round pass. The pass is adjusted by a special mechanism with electromechanical drive. Working stands cassette is mounted on the frame and can be adjusted for height to align mill axis with tube one. Some pieces of manufactured equipment have already been sent to the Customer.
