Tube electric welding plant TEWP-1420 is intended for production of electric welded tubes and pipes up to 1420 mm OD for main gas and oil pipelines and pumping-compressor stations construction purpose.
Tubes of increased reliability are made from steel grade up to X80C with one longitudinal seam.
This unique plant is intended for production of both single and double-seam tubes and pipes up to 1420 mm OD. Taking into account high cost, transportation troubles and lack of wide plates it is possible to produce tubes from two semi-cylinders formed from narrow plates with two longitudinal seams.
TEWP-1420 consists of the following equipment:
1. Plate preparation and billet forming line:
Technological strips welding machine is intended for shielded gas arc welding of technological strips in the corners of plates for their extension.
Plate-edge milling machine is intended for milling of plate edges for future longitudinal welding.
Flanger is intended for simultaneous lengthwise flanging of plate edges.
Stepwise shaping press is intended for shaping of tube billets by simultaneous multi-stage bending.
Hydraulic scalebreacker is intended for simultaneous breaking of the scale formed during the shaping from inside and outside tube surfaces.
2. Tube welding line:
Tack welding mill is intended for tack welding of billet edges with possible root opening by shielded gas single arc welder.
Inside longitudinal seam welding mill is intended for submerged 3-4 arc welding of inside working seam.
Outside longitudinal seam welding mill is intended for submerged 4-5 arc welding of outside working seam.
3. Inspection, repair and plasma cutting line:
Welded seams ultrasonic testing device (UTD) is intended for automated ultrasonic lengthwise testing of welded seam. In case of defects paint sprayers mark them on tube surfaces.
X-ray television testing device (XTTD) is intended for interpretation of automated ultrasonic testing results. Areas with confirmed defects are marked as well.
Inspection and repair device is intended for visual examination and repair of inside and outside tube surfaces marked by UTD and XTTD.
Plasma cutting device is intended for cutting off of technological strips and defected tube ends.
4. Expanding and hydrotesting line:
Hydromechanical expander is intended for tube sizing.
Hydrostatic testing press is intended for tubes hydrostatic testing.
5. Secondary testing line:
Seams ultrasonic testing device (UTD) is intended for seams automated ultrasonic testing.
Tube end ultrasonic testing device is intended for testing of tube end metal.
Seam end X-ray television testing device (XTTD) is intended for testing of seam ends (400 mm length). It is possible to use this devise for seam ends x-ray testing as well.
Magnetic powder inspection device is intended for magnetic powder inspection of tube end metal.
6. Tube end finishing and final acceptance line:
Tube end finishing machine is intended for tube ends finishing.
Tube weighing machine is intended for weighing of finished tubes by electronic balance.
Tube final acceptance device is intended for visual examination, marking and final acceptance of finished tubes.
Double-seam tube assembling-welding mill is intended for assembling of two semi-cylinders in assembly unit, feeding them into welding stand and tack welding of their edges with possible root opening. The second tack weld is made after billet turn in the second welding stand.
Electric drive and automation
Hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical drives are used.
TEWP control system combined with electric drives comprises automatic process control system. Programmable logic controllers with remote control station are used for all control systems. To fix mechanisms and tubes position it is possible to use non-contact inductive optical magnetostrictive transducers. The plant is operated from closed command stations and open work stations mounted in shops. Command stations are equipped with operator's panels and different control facilities.
Automatic process control system is equipped with software.
