Ball rolling mills

Ball rolling mills are intended for production of steel balls by hot screw rolling in screw grooves used mainly as grinding bodies in ball mills in mining, coal and other industries, as ball blanks for antifriction bearings and as ball blanks for different machine-building parts.

The main advantages of rolling balls process in comparison to forging and stamping are:

  • rolled balls have more accurate dimensions and form;
  •  the output when rolling balls is by 3-8 times higher;
  • metal consumption is reduced up to 15% when rolling balls for antifriction bearings;
  • service life of rolls of rolling mills exceeds service life of dies in several times;
  • continuity of rolling process permits to automatize and mechanize ball production.
